How to Play

Goal: Slice as much flying fruit as you can to build the highest score.

Controls: Drag your mouse (desktop) or drag your finger (mobile) across the screen to swing your blade through the fruit.

Combos: Slice two or more fruit in a single swipe to land a combo and earn bonus points.

Watch out: Avoid the dark bombs with the lit fuse. Slicing one costs a life, and so does letting a fruit fall off the bottom. Lose all three lives and the game is over. The fruit flies faster the longer you survive.

About Fruit Slice

Fruit Slice belongs to the great arcade tradition started by Fruit Ninja in 2010, one of the first mobile games to prove that a touchscreen could invent a genre. Fruit is tossed across the screen, you slash through it with a swipe, and bombs mixed into the fountain punish greedy blades. Simple, physical and weirdly satisfying.

The scoring depth comes from combos: slicing several fruits with a single stroke multiplies your points, so the best players do not slash constantly, they wait half a beat for fruits to cluster mid-air and then carve through the whole group at once. Lives are lost to dropped fruit, so patience and greed pull against each other in every volley.

Fruit Slice combo craft

  • Wait for the top of the arc. Fruit hangs nearly still at its peak, which is the easiest moment for a multi-slice.
  • Draw long, flat strokes across clusters rather than short stabs at singles, combos scale hard.
  • Track bombs the moment they launch, plan your stroke path around them instead of reacting mid-swipe.
  • Guard the screen edges. Fruits that spawn wide fall fastest out of reach, and drops cost lives.
  • Keep your finger (or mouse) moving smoothly. Jerky slashes miss thin fruit hitboxes that a clean line catches.

FAQ

How do combos work in Fruit Slice?

Any single continuous stroke that cuts multiple fruits scores a combo bonus that scales with the count. Two big combos are worth more than a dozen single slices, so the skill ceiling is all about herd-slicing clustered fruit at the arc's peak.

What happens if I hit a bomb?

A bomb ends your run or costs you dearly, depending on mode, so a stroke that clips one wipes out the value of everything else it sliced. When fruit and bombs fly together, slice around the bomb or let the volley go.

Do dropped fruits matter?

Yes, letting fruit fall unsliced costs you a life, and three drops ends a classic run. Prioritize fruit falling near the bottom of the screen over fresh spawns; a rescued fruit is worth more than a slightly bigger combo.

Does Fruit Slice play better on touch or mouse?

It was born for touch, and swiping on a phone feels most natural, but a mouse gives surgical precision on desktop. The game supports both; the strokes are identical, so pick whichever hardware your high-score pride prefers.
